Acetamide Medium Recipe

1. Dissolve the following in 1L of distilled water to make Trace Elements solution:
• CoCl₂ x 6 H₂O 3.7 g
• ZnSO₄ x 7 H₂O 1.4 g
• MnSO₄ x H₂O 1.6 g
• FeSO₄ x 7 H₂O 5.0 g
2. Dissolve the following in 800 ml of distilled water to make Trace Elements solution:
• Trace element solution* 1.0 ml
• KH₂PO₄ 15.0 g
• Glucose 20.0 g
3. q.s. to 1L with distilled water
4. Autoclave to sterilize.
5. After autoclaving add the following:
   • 1 M CSCl₂ 12.5 ml
   • 1 M Acetamide 10.0 ml
   • 1 M CaCl₂ x 2 H₂O 4.1 ml
   • 1 M MgSO₄ x 7 H₂O 2.4 ml
