Clostridium thermocellum Medium Recipe

1. Dissolve the following in 800ml of distilled water
   • 1mg Resazurin
   • 1.1mg FeSO₄ × 7 H₂O
   • 6g Na-ß-glycerophosphate
   • 0.13g CaCl₂ × 2 H₂O
   • 7.2g K₂HPO₄ × 3 H₂O
   • 1.43g KH₂PO₄
   • 2.6g MgCl₂ × 6 H₂O
   • 1.3g (NH₄)₂SO₄
   • 0.25g Glutathione
   • 10g Cellulose
   • 4.5g Yeast extract
2. Bring to 900ml with distilled water
3. Autoclave to sterilize
4. Add 50ml of 100g/L filter sterilized Cellobiose (5g)
5. Aspectically adjust to 1000 with sterile distilled water
