Fly Media Recipe
- Add 37g brewers yeast, 3g commercial mold inhibitor
(100% methylparaben works well), and 35g of agar to
enough 95% ethanol to make a slurry. The majority
of the ethanol will boil off during the next steps
in the procedure.
- Make a slurry of the corn meal with distilled water
- Add the solutions from step 1 and 2 to 1.9 liters
of distilled water
- Add 200ml of unsulfured molassas to the solution
from step 3
- Place on stirring and heat to boiling
- Dispense 50ml aliquots into 500ml wide mouth bottles
