Luminous Medium Recipe

  1. Dissolve the following in 900 ml of distilled water:
    • Glycerol 3.0 ml
    • 1 M Tris-buffer pH 7.5 50.0 ml
    • CaCO3 1.0 g
    • KCl 0.75 g
    • MgSO4 x 7 H2O 1.0 g
    • NH4Cl 5.0 g
    • KH2HPO4 2.1 g
    • NaCl 30.0 g
    • Yeast extract 5.0 g
    • Tryptone 5.0 g
  2. q.s. to 1L with distilled water.
  3. Autoclave to sterilize.
