Masson's Stain Recipe

Stock solution

1. Mix 1% ponceau de xylidine in 1% acetic acid
2. Mix 1% acid fuchsin in 1% acetic acid
3. Mix 2 parts of the solution from step 1 with 1 part of the solution from step 2

Working solution

1. Dilute the stock solution 1:9 with distilled water

Masson's stain is a trichrome stain for connective tissue.
