Phenol Red Lactose Broth Recipe

Phenol red lactose broth will turn yellow when lactose is fermented.

1. Dissolve the following in 1L of distilled water
• 10g protease peptone #3
• 1g of beef extract
• 5g lactose
• 5g sodium chloride
• 18mg phenol red
2. Filter sterilize
