Rolled Oats Mineral Agar Recipe

1. Dissolve the following in 100 ml of distilled water to make trace elements solution:
• ZnSO₄ x 7 H₂O 0.1 g
• MnCl₂ x 4 H₂O 0.1 g
• FeSO₄ x 7 H₂O 0.1 g
2. Add 20g of of rolled oats to 1L distilled water
3. q.s. to 1L with distilled water.
4. Boil for 20 minutes.
5. Filter to remove particulates
6. Add 12.0 g Agar.
7. Add 1ml of trace elements solution (see above)
8. Autoclave to sterilize.
