Saccharose Agar Recipe

  1. Combine the following in 800ml water:
    • 20g agar
    • 3g CaCO3
    • 20mg Bromocresol green
    • 0.1ml Tween 80
    • 0.56g MnSO4 x H2O
    • 1.025g MgSO4 x 7 H2O
    • 5g NaCl
    • 5g Yeast extract
    • 10g Bacto peptone
    • 10g Maltose
    • 40g Saccharose
  2. Adjust to 1000ml with distilled water
  3. Autoclave to sterilize.
