Recipe
for Benedict's solution for glucose estimation
- Heat 800ml H2O.
- Add 173g of sodium citrate and 100g of Na3CO3.
- q.s to 850ml with H2O.
- Separately dissolve 17.3g of CuSO4.5H2O
in 100ml H2O.
- Slowly pour the solution from step into the solution
from step 3 with constant stirring.
- q.s. to 1000ml with H2O.
